To be caught between a rock and a hard place (=a no-win situation)

Sometimes in life you must make a decision between two bad choices. It doesn’t matter which you choose, you will be in some trouble.
e.g. He is caught between a rock and a hard place when his wife and mother fight. If he supports either person, the other will be angry!
人は時に、どちらも選びたくない２つの選択肢のどちらかを選ばなければならないことがあります。どちらを選んだとしても困ったことになるのです。
例：　彼は彼の奥さんと彼のお母さんが喧嘩をする時、板挟みになる。もしどちらかの味方をすると、もう一人の方が怒るのだ。
