How do I write an IELTS essay?

ライティングセクションのTask ２に向けて勉強する際に最も重要なことは正しい論文構成を身につけることです。添削者は論理的に構成された、きちんとまとめられているエッセイを期待しています。もっとシンプルに言うと、書いたエッセイが明確な構成になっていないと高得点は望めないということです！

1. Is structure important?

The most important thing to learn when preparing for Task 2 in the Writing section of the IELTS exam is the correct essay structure. Test markers are looking for a well-organized essay that follows a logical structure. Simply put, if your essay does not have a clear structure, you won’t get a high score!

In general, you will need to write a 4 (or 5) paragraph essay. The overall structure looks something like this:

This is the basic outline for an essay, but the way you build each paragraph will change depending on the type of question. We will look at the different types of questions in the next tip.
