Have the best of both worlds

This expression describes a situation in which a person can enjoy the positive aspects of two different opportunities – without missing out on either.

For example, “The mother enjoyed working part-time because she could spend time with her children after they finished school and enjoy working and meeting other adults. She had the best of both worlds.”

In this situation, the mother has the positive aspects of:
1) Being a stay-at-home mother - i.e. spending time with her children, and
2) Being a working mother - i.e. working and meeting other adults.

この表現は、人が2つの異なる機会のポジティブな面を楽しんでいる状況を表します。-どちらにでも失敗することなく。
例えば、「母はパートの仕事楽しんでいました。なぜなら、彼女は子供たちが学校から帰ってきた後に一緒に時間を過ごし、職場では大人の人たちと会うことができるからです。彼女は両方の世界を楽しんでいました。」

この状況では、母の持つポジティブな面：
1） 主婦でいること-　子供たちと時間を過ごす
2） 働く母でいる-　仕事をしてほかの大人と出会うこと
