A social butterfly

A person who enjoys being around others is described as a ‘social’ person. If someone is social or friendly to everyone they often described as a social butterfly. This is because they flitter from person to person in the same way a butterfly might.
Example:
“Wow! You’ve been out to 5 parties this week? You really are a social butterfly!”
他の人と一緒に時間を過ごすことが好きな人は社交的と言われますが、社交的でどんな人にもフレンドリーな人のことをSocial butterflyといいます。
蝶が葉から葉へ飛び移るように、人から人へ移動するところからこの表現は来ています。
例）「今週5回もパーティーに参加したの？とても社交的だね！」
